Ground Notes

How we plan Chongqing

What we arrange

We pair Chongqing with Zhangjiajie for family routes, plan evenings around the lights, and choose hotpot restaurants that handle halal, vegetarian and mild options properly. Two nights is enough.

Getting there

Jiangbei airport is about 40–60 minutes from the centre. High-speed trains reach Zhangjiajie in about 2–3 hours and Chengdu in about an hour.

When to go

Spring and autumn. Summers are very hot and humid; winters are mild but grey.

Halal, veg and Jain

Halal hotpot and noodle restaurants are available; every hotpot restaurant offers a mild broth alongside the spicy one, which matters for families.
