Ground Notes

How we plan Guangzhou

What we arrange

We book fair-week hotels with metro access to Pazhou first, arrange interpreters for fair and factory days, and pick the phase by the client's product category.

Getting there

Baiyun airport (CAN) is about 45–60 minutes from the centre and has direct flights from India, the Gulf and Africa. Metro Lines 8 and 11 serve the fair.

When to go

October–December is the most comfortable; spring is humid; summers are hot with typhoon risk. Fair weeks in April–May and October–November set hotel prices.

Halal, veg and Jain

Guangzhou has a Hui Muslim community dating back to Arab traders in the Tang dynasty, plus a large Middle Eastern and African trading community, so halal dining is easy to arrange.

FAQ

Questions about Guangzhou

When should fair-week hotels be booked?

As soon as the client knows the phase. Rates near Pazhou rise sharply during each phase and the well-located rooms go first.

Are interpreters needed at the fair?

Many exhibitors speak some English, but an interpreter makes negotiation, factory visits and follow-up far more productive.
