Entry Rules

What the passport gets

Indian passport holders need a visa for China; there is no visa-free entry or visa on arrival. The application has started online since 22 December 2025. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in India have extended reduced fees to 31 December 2026: ₹2,900 single entry, ₹4,400 double entry, ₹5,900 six-month multiple, ₹8,800 one-year multiple and ₹1,800 per person on a group visa. From 26 October 2026 the visa centres in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stopped taking new applications, and online applications filed after 5pm on 23 October 2026 carry no visa-centre service fee.

Travellers

Who is booking

Indian China briefs split two ways. Leisure groups and families want 7 to 10 night circuits with Shanghai Disneyland, Zhangjiajie and a big-city mix, and pure-veg or Jain meals that hold for the whole trip. Trade travellers want Guangzhou and Yiwu: Canton Fair weeks, factory visits and wholesale markets, often with a few days of sightseeing added.

Flights

How they fly to China

Direct flights resumed on 26 October 2025 with IndiGo's Kolkata–Guangzhou service, followed by IndiGo Delhi–Guangzhou and China Eastern Delhi–Shanghai in November 2025. Air India returned to Delhi–Shanghai on 1 February 2026, IndiGo added Kolkata–Shanghai in March 2026, and Air China resumed Beijing–Delhi in April 2026, alongside China Eastern's Kunming–Kolkata service.

What Matters

How we quote and operate

The visa is now a paperwork step, not a barrier, provided the documents are right first time. We supply the itinerary and hotel confirmations each applicant needs, plan veg and Jain dining city by city before pricing, and settle in INR through our Indian unit. Trade programmes are built around the Canton Fair phases, with hotels near the fair booked early.

FAQ

Questions India agencies ask

How much is a China visa for Indian clients right now?

The reduced embassy fee runs to 31 December 2026: ₹2,900 single entry, ₹4,400 double entry, ₹5,900 for a six-month multiple and ₹8,800 for a one-year multiple. A group visa is ₹1,800 per person. Express and urgent processing cost extra.

Do Indian clients still go to a visa centre?

Not for new applications. The application starts online, and from 26 October 2026 the visa centres in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stopped accepting new applications. Online applications filed after 5pm on 23 October 2026 carry no visa-centre service fee. The embassy fee itself still applies.

Can you keep a group fully vegetarian or Jain across China?

Yes, if it is planned before the quote. We match each meal to a restaurant that can hold the requirement and route around towns where it cannot. Jain needs a stricter list than vegetarian, so tell us which it is in the brief.

Which cities can Indian clients fly to China from directly?

Delhi and Kolkata have direct services: IndiGo to Guangzhou from both and to Shanghai from Kolkata, China Eastern and Air India Delhi–Shanghai, Air China Beijing–Delhi, and China Eastern Kunming–Kolkata.
